COWPENS - Thelma Oglesby, 61, of 1134 Bunche Lane, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at 6 p.m. at her home.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was the widow of Eddie Dean Oglesby and daughter of the late Henry Prysock and the late Magdlene Wood Prysock. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a Trustee, sang in the choir and was a member of the Helpmate Committee. A 1964 graduate of Benjamin E. Mayes High School, she retired as a teller from West Gate Branch of Wachovia Bank, Spartanburg, in October, 2006, after 30 years of service.

Surviving are a son, Eddie Ricardo Oglesby of Enoree; a daughter, Coretta Oglesby of Charlotte; two brothers, Thomas Prysock and Rosemond Prysock of Spartanburg; a sister, Margean Prysock of Cowpens; and two grandchildren.
