Grant ceremony set for Monday

Limestone College officials will be all smiles Monday when they receive a muchanticipated enhancement grant from the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

The $180,000 grant will be used to improve the entrance to the college at Griffith Street and College Drive.

The money will be used to resurface the roadway and enhance the intersection.

Cherokee County Councilman Quay Little helped pave the way for the grant by earmarking his C-Fund money for the local matching portion of the grant.

The public is invited to attend Monday's grant ceremony, which will begin at 11 a.m. at the school's banquet hall in the Stephenson Dining Hall.
