      Willie Jeter, 93, of 205 Michigan Ave., widow of the Rev. L.J. Jeter, departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at 12:25 a.m in Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Daughter of the late Will Gregory and the late Anna Gregory, she was born in the Pee Ridde community of Union County.

Born in Union, he was the son of George Matthew Patterson Sr. and Sadie Mae Inman McNeal. He was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines, a self-employed carpenter and of the Protestant faith.

      Services for Latica Ann Scott, 32, of 1213 Cherokee Ave., will be held today at 2 p.m. at Greater Buck Shoals Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Troy McDowell and Rev. Lattimore. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
