      Funeral services for Willie Mae Jeter, 93, of 205 Michigan Avenue, will be held Saturday, February 9 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Jeter was the widow of the late Rev. L.J. Jeter. Officiating the ceremony will be Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr., Minister Cathy Neal, the Rev. Vincent Wilkins and Bishop Lance R. Jeter.

      Native of Hungary Eva Panto, 86, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at her youngest son's home in Florida after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Panto was a longtime resident of Gaffney before moving in 2006 for treatment of her cancer.
