Lee McDaniel
Self-employed painter
BLACKSBURG - Lee Edward McDaniel, 59, of 477 Bluebird Lane, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Lorna Lee McDaniel
and son of Iva Lee
McDaniel of Blacksburg.
He was a selfemployed painter, a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a former employee of Gordon Mortuary.
Also surviving are sons, Matthew McDaniel and wife, Kim, and Chance McDaniel and fiancee, Jennifer Hames, both of Blacksburg; a sister, Libby Ann Morrison and husband, Jerry, of Grover; and three grandchildren, Tyler McDaniel, Wesley Blacketer and Kaden McDaniel of Blacksburg.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Grady Gregory. Burial will be in Clingman Memorial Gardens. Body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Larry Covington, Bobby Yarborough, Timmy Brown, Kiley Mullinax, Eddie Deluna, Mike Bell and Ronnie McDaniel.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary and at other times they will be at the home.
