25 talented youths are featured in 'Alice in Wonderland' at Gaffney Little Theatre
      One of the delights of the 2008 Gaffney Little Theatre season is Alice in Wonderland - the Musical, which began Thursday evening. The show will run today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with additional shows next week, Feb. 28, 29 and March 1, also at 7:30 p.m.

Unveiling ceremony for Granard High marker set Feb. 25
      The official unveiling ceremony for the Granard High School State Historical Marker will be held Monday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center, 499 W. Rutledge Ave. The marker is the first of historical significance for African- Americans in Cherokee County.

Chronic disease workshop begins Feb. 26 at library
      A self-help workshop designed to teach techniques to better deal with symptoms from different types of chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, will be held at Cherokee County Public Library, 300 E. Rutledge Ave., beginning Feb. 26 from 9:30 a.m. until noon on six consecutive Tuesdays until April 1.
