Gaffney Police are investigating a Monday afternoon incident in which a man allegedly stole $500 in bed sheets from the Pottery Barn at the Prime Outlets - Gaffney.

A customer alerted a clerk to the theft and a clerk was able to obtain a license plate number as the alleged shoplifter drove out of the parking lot, police said. The license plate was traced back to a Georgia woman. The unknown man driving the car was described as a white male, 45 to 50 years old, wearing khaki pants and a khakicolored sweater vest.
