Helen Morgan
Helen Horn Morgan, 85, a resident of Peachtree Centre, formerly of 867 Pleasant School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Peachtree Centre.
Born in Fort Green, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Henry Horn and Freddie Devereaux Horn and widow of Edward Aaron (Pete) Morgan. Mrs. Morgan was retired from Hamrick's Inc. and was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. She was a member of the Queen Esther 139 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, Eddie Morgan and wife, Marlene, of Indian Trail, N.C.; a brother, Jack Horn and wife, Sharon, of Sebring, Fla.; and a grandson, John Morgan, and special friend, Lindsay, of Charlotte.
Services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Grassy Pond Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Roger Aycock and the Rev. Martin Hogg. Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held in the church fellowship hall from 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Grassy Pond Baptist Church, Building Fund or Youth Group, 254 Grassy Pond Road, Gaffney, S.C. 29341.
