 MRS. GAFFNEY CELEBRATES 101st BIRTHDAY AS S.C. SENIOR CITIZEN OF THE WEEK - Mae Sue Gaffney of Gaffney will celebrate her 101st birthday on March 21, 2008. Mrs. Gaffney will be honored as South Carolina's Senior Citizen of the Week on Wednesday, March 19, in the state senate. She will be the guest of Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer at 11 a.m. and will be introduced to Senate members by Sen. Harvey Peeler at 2 p.m. Mrs. Gaffney is the mother of one daughter, the late Lula Oglesby, one granddaughter, one deceased grandson, and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gaffney, widow of Reddick Gaffney, was born in 1907 in Chesnee. |
