Dr. Phillips attends meeting Dr. Frank Phillips recently attended the 75th anniversary meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in San Francisco, Calif. The annual event is the largest orthopaedic meeting in the world, with over 25,000 attending from a variety of countries. During the meeting, Dr. Phillips heard lectures on topics ranging from improving recovery after total knee replacement to arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery. "The academy meeting is my favorite meeting, and it allows me to interact with world leaders in the field of orthopaedic surgery," Dr. Phillips said. "This is a rapidly changing field of medicine, and it is important to stay abreast of the latest concepts and techniques. It also provides me an opportunity for continuing medical education in my specialty." Dr. Phillips is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who is in his 20th year of practice in Gaffney. He manages many orthopaedic conditions, including sports injuries, degenerative arthritis, work injuries and fractures. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery and total knee replacement. |
