GHS Quiz Bowl team participates in tourney

The Gaffney High School Quiz Bowl team participated in the Viking Invitational tournament on Saturday, March 8 at Spartanburg High School. Gaffney High seniors Brandi Crowe and Breeann Weaver, junior Will Spires, and sophomore Robin LeCroy competed against 23 high school academic teams from upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina.

Newly formed at GHS, this academic competition squad participates in contests of quick reflexes and questioning that requires the students to know random trivia from every discipline, including history, math, literature, visual arts, mythology, popular culture, sports, and science. Team sponsors are GHS English teachers Kristie Camp, Emily Grigg, and Kelly Revels.
