The Gaffney High baseball team mixed in some gutty pitching by Cameron Culp and some timely hits from Dylan Jolley and Michael Hughey to pick up its first region win with a 7-4 victory over visiting Mauldin on Friday. After starting the day tied with Gaffney at 315, the Cavaliers shot a final round 280 to beat first-round leader Bythewood by 16 strokes. More ... STATE CHAMPION - Zack Clary, son of Tommy and Gene Clary of Gaffney, won his weight class in the South Carolina AAUW Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, March 8, at Eastside High School in Greenville. Zack was the champion in the 65-pound, 9- to 10-year-old Midget Class. A member of Team Indian Wrestling which practices at Limestone College, Zack ended the season undefeated in his weight class with a 29-0 record. More ...
