CLOGGING TEAM WINS GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS - The Southern Jewels Sapphire 2 Clogging Team of Julia's Dance Company recently won the Grand Championship Award in its last two clogging competitions. The dancers won the overall award at the Winter Clogging Classic held in Saluda, N C., on March 1 and the Smokey Mountain Encore Clogging Competition in Gatlinburg, Tenn., on March 8. STATE CHAMPION GYMNAST - Maci Rebecca Bolin of Rock Hill is the state champion on the uneven bars in Level 4 gymnastics for the nine-year-old age group. In the competition, she also placed second in the all-around category, receiving fourth on vault and seventh on beam. The state meet was held March 14-16 in Myrtle Beach. Maci competes with Thomas Gymnastics in Rock Hill. She is the daughter of Eric and Kristi Bolin and granddaughter of Bobby Dean Parker of Blacksburg, Max Daniel and Joanne Bolin of Smyrna, and the late Phyllis Clary Parker.
