LITERACY ASSOCIATION GETS DONATION FROM WAL-MART


Jackie Childers of Wal -Mart presents a check to R. Dewitt Clyde, executive director of the Cherokee County Literacy Association. The check is from the Wal- Mart Community Grant. The Cherokee County Literacy Association's mission is to teach adults who do not read and write to read, write and communicate in order to meet their needs. The CCLA trains tutors to work with student one-to-one. Those needing to be a part of the program, which is free, or those interested in becoming tutors can contact CCLA at 409 W.
