William Agustus Garrett, 57, of 1701 W. Buford St., formerly of 27 Water St., Asheville, N.C., passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 4:45 p.m. at his home.

Born June 25, 1950 in Asheville, he was the son of the late Barbara Yellock Roberts and the late Willie Calhoun. He was employed by Prichard Paint, Ticor Chemical and Western North Carolina College in Asheville before he became disabled. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Gaffney.

Surviving are a son, Adrian Holloway of Asheville; a daughter, Shannon Garrett of Charlotte; five sisters, Celia Garrett of New York, N.Y., Joyce Littlejohn of Gaffney, Julia Ann Calhoun, Brenda Mapp and Margrette Linney, all of Asheville; two brothers, Peter Calhoun and Fleetwood Calhoun of Asheville; and a host of other relatives.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Hart Funeral Home, 60 Phifer St., Asheville.
