3 will be ordained Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church

Nelson Davis, James "Joe"Dawkins and Cory B. White (l-r) will be ordained Sunday at Ebenezer Baptist Church. A deacon ordination services will be held Sunday, April 13, during 11:15 morning worship service at Ebenezer Baptist Church for Trustees Nelson Davis, James "Joe" Dawkins and Cory B. White.

Davis is married to Elizabeth Peeler Davis. Retired from Magnolia Finishing, he has spent many years dedicating his life to the service of the Lord and his church family. He has been a member since 1985 and presently serves on the Board of Trustees and on the Pastor's Aide Committee.

Dawkins has been a faithful member of the church for many years and is married to Joyce Rainey Dawkins. After 31 years of service, he retired from Hoechst Celanese of Earl, N.C., and now devotes his time assisting with the upkeep of the church sanctuary and grounds. He serves as chairman of Board of Trustees, driver of the church bus and member of the All Male, Gospel Unity and Senior choirs.

White has been a member of the church since he was six years old, being baptized in 1983. He has dedicated his life to the upbuilding of God's kingdom and works diligently within his church. He is married to Nikki Leach White and has been employed with Freightliner of Gaffney for 10 years. He serves on the Board of Trustees, the Finance Committee, the Youth Department and the Code Blue Team. He is Assistant Department Head of Sunday School, vice president of the All Male Choir, member of the Young Adult No. 2 Ushers, the Adult No. 2 Sunday School class and the Praise and Worship Team.
