Gaffney City Hall graces cover of Real Yellow Pages directory

More than 35,000 directories will be distributed in area

Gaffney City Hall, located in the heart of downtown Gaffney, is featured on the cover of the new AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory for Gaffney and Blacksburg.

More than 35,000 copies of the AT&T Real Yellow Pages have been produced for distribution.

"We are pleased to feature the Gaffney City Hall on the cover of our new AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory," said Jim Thomas, AT&T regional director of External Affairs. "We're always working to make our directories an even greater value to our customers by tailoring the contents and services offered in them to meet the needs of our customers."

Construction of the Gaffney City Hall building was completed in January 2006 and was designed with many similarities to the original city hall, which was built in the late 1800s. The design reflects much of Gaffney's past by including features of the old Gaffney Manufacturing plant and the Carnegie Library. One of the goals for the new building was for it to be a friendly destination for Gaffney's citizens and tourists. The second floor lobby serves as an art gallery, while the clock tower sounds the more than 100-year-old bell every 30 minutes, the same bell that rang in Gaffney's original City Hall.

"We are excited to have the Gaffney City Hall featured on the cover of this year's AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory, " said Gaffney Mayor Henry Jolly. "The Gaffney City Hall belongs to its people and now, every time someone picks up this year's directory, they will be reminded of the many improvements1 we have made and are making in our beautiful historic downtown district."

The Gaffney and Blacksburg directory includes listings for Grover and Hickory Grove.
