Dover Baptist Church on Hwy. 226 N, Shelby, is having revival services through April 23 at 7 p.m. Jim Brackett is the guest speaker. Ashley Smith is leading music with special pre-service music each night 15 minutes prior to the service.

Computer classes

The Cherokee County Public Library is accepting registration for its April public computer classes. Funded by a grant administered by the South Carolina State Library and provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, the one-session classes are free and focus on training adults ages 55-plus. "Introduction to the Internet," a basic introductory class on Internet navigation and on-line resources, will be taught from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, and again Tuesday, April 29. Class size is limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis; participants must have basic computer and mouse skills. S.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews in Cherokee County will be out in full force during the agency's Carolina Spring Clean Week, April 14-18, picking up litter from along sections of highways throughout the county. April 14-18, the crews will pick up litter from along US-29, SC-18, SC-5, SC- 105, SC-150, SC-216, US-221, US-221-A and SC-211.
