Forest Rippy Sr.
ROCK HILL - Forest Rippy Sr., 97, of 1915 Ebenezer Road, formerly of 213 Morgan St., passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008.
Born Feb. 9, 1911, in Blacksburg to the late Thomas K. and Augusta Blackwell Rippy, Mr. Rippy was a retired weaver from Arcade Mills and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his son, Forest Rippy Jr., and daughter, Betty Greene, both of Rock Hill; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Wardell Rippy of Blacksburg; and two sisters, Pearl Bachelor of Blacksburg and Essie Thompson of Clover.
Graveside services were held Sunday, April 13, at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Lee Dye.
