Joyce Powell Beheler, 65, of 129 Henderson St., passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008, at her residence.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Otis Powell and Lois Blanton Powell. She was retired from TNS Mills and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a son, Harold Carr and wife, Linda, of Lincolnton, N.C.; two daughters, Brenda Lindsey and husband, Charles (Domino), of the home and Mary Childers and husband, Kenny, of Gaffney; three brothers, Wilson Powell and wife, Joyce, of Gaffney, the Rev. Jimmy Powell and wife, Judy, of Cowpens and Mike Powell and wife, Faye, also of Cowpens; a sister, Margie Cook and husband, Billy, of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beheler was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Powell; a sister, Carolyn Poole; a daughter, Melissa Sheehan; and a granddaughter, Ashley Harrison.

Visitation was held Saturday, April 11, from 3-4 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services followed at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Powell and Mr. Ashby Blakely. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery.
