      Permelia Joanna Walker of Kings Creek and Matthew Tucker Earls of Blacksburg were united in marriage on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Bethany Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Clover. The Rev. Alan Arthur Morrow officiated the two o'clock double ring ceremony. A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, followed in the church fellowship hall.

      Fund raiser There will be a yard sale for old yearbooks at Gaffney High on Saturday, April 19, from 2-4 p.m. There will be a table in the front of the school, under the covered walkway. This event is open to the community. There are books from years 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007. Prices range from $5 to $15 for each book.

Limestone College announces concerts
      The Limestone College Music Department will end the academic year with several concerts. All will be in Fullerton Auditorium and are free and open to the public. On Saturday, April 19, the alumni band and chorus, composed of former members of Limestone's choruses and ensembles, will present a concert at 2:30 p.m. as part of the college's Alumni Weekend Celebration.
