GHS BEAUTIES CROWNED -  Winners in the 2008 Miss Cherokeean pageant held at Gaffney High School are Miss Freshman, Marci Williams; Miss Sophomore, Makiera Simmons; Miss Cherokeean, Tessie Woodlief; Miss Senior, Felixicity Figueroa; and Miss Junior, Haley Stanford. Makiera Simmons received the Academic Award; Latrice Palmer received the Spirit Award and Tessie Woodlief received the Leadership Award.
