Church plans Bible study

The Blacksburg A.R. Presbyterian Church will host in their Fellowship Hall a weekly Bible Study every Thursday at 7 p.m., beginning May 8, 2008.

The topic of study will be: "A Christian's duty to his nation at the time of election."

Issues that often arise in political campaigns will be examined with the goal of understanding Biblical perspectives and positions. Specific political parties, and individual candidates for local or national office WILL NOT be endorsed or promoted. The study is strictly to be focused on the Bible's teaching regarding issues that confront us as a society. Rev. David Rowe, D.D., will lead the study.

Participation and discussion will be expected and encouraged. The public is cordially invited.
