Bethel holds Senior Walk for MOD

Clients and staff of Bethel Senior Day Care Center Inc. held their first Senior Fun Walk on Tuesday, April 15, at 11 a.m. Clients and staff made imprints of their feet as an arts and craft projects and then used them as a pathway for their walk around the facility. They also collected donations with the March of Dimes footprint squares.

Winners were Mae Houey, longest walker; Ellar Simpson; most money collected (client); and Patty Greene, most money collected (staff). Prizes were awarded to the winners and certificates of appreciation were given to the clients and staff. Captains for the walk were Kathy Beattie, administrative assistant, and Dr. J.W. Sanders Jr., administrator.

Dr. Sanders said, "Our clients are very supportive of the March of Dimes and community projects. It was fun and exciting to see our seniors apply themselves."
