Maternal grandparents are Vicky Richardson of Blacksburg and Bobby Richardson of Gaffney. Paternal grandparents are James Lipscomb of Gaffney and the late Frances Byers.

Maternal great-grandparents are Sarah Moss of Blacksburg and the late Loyd Moss. Paternal grandmother is the late Virginia Byers.
