Ebenezer Baptist Church will celebrate 142nd anniversary with special service

Debra Jones Debra Jones Pastor Freddy Davidson and Ebenezer Baptist Church will celebrate their 142nd church anniversary on Sunday, May 18, during 11:15 morning worship service. Speaker will be the Rev. Debra Jones, daughter of Etta Jones and the late Deacon James Clyde Jones.

She had two daughters, Shea Lattimore and Kiptori Evans, and one granddaughter, London.

Rev. Jones has a B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Limestone College

and a Master's of Education from Southern Wesleyan University in Central.

She is a sixth grade math and science

teacher at Granard Middle School.

Rev. Jones served for nine years in the U.S. Army. She was stationed at Fort Jackson and served at the Panama Canal and in Germany.

Rev. Jones is one of the daughters of Ebenezer Baptist Church, having been called into the ministry under the shepherding of retired pastor, Dr. Eula M. Miller Jr. She now serves as associate minister with St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Grover, N.C., under the leadership of Senior Pastor Rev. William Thompson.

Family and friends are invited to attend the service. Dinner will be served immediately following.
