Jake T. Allison

Jake T. Allison, 78, of 634 5th St., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Arthur Ruben Allison and Ollie Pace Allison. Mr. Allison attended the Salvation Army Church.

He is survived by three brothers, Walter Allison and wife, Cora, of Rock Hill, Cotton Allison and wife, Margie, of Gaffney and John Allison, his brother and caregiver, of the home; two sisters, Mamie Cooper and husband, Furman, and Verle Henderson and husband, Marvin, all of Gaffney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Allison was preceded in death by a sister, Lib Waters, and a brother, Sonny Boy Allison.

Services will be held Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Captain Robbie Robbins and Major David Johnston. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 16, from 7-9 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2087, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.
