The halls at Brookview Healthcare have been abuzz this week with sounds of excitement and laughter as the residents, guests and staff celebrate National Nursing Home Week.

Residents, guests and staff enjoyed games, cotton candy, popcorn and snowcones Monday, carrying out the theme, "Carnival Day."

Tuesday, May 13, was "Dance Day," with various dance troupes performing along with the "Dance 'n with the Staff" dance contest.

Wednesday, May 14, was "Motorcycle Day" featuring a motorcycle show while "NASCAR Day" was celebrated Thursday with staff competitions and a car show. Hot dog plates were served to the staff and residents.

Today's finale is "Western Day," with horse carriage rides and catered barbecue for everyone. For more information, call 864-489-3101.
