Caring about their salvation

Dear Editor:

I'm writing to tell you something I think you should know and the world as well.

I am a healthcare professional and I have worked in this field for about 8 1/2 years.

I want to tell you in all of those years I have never experienced what I'm about to tell you. On a daily basis I am in and out of homes and facilities as well.

Last Monday I was at Peachtree Centre and while walking by one of the patient's rooms, I heard a woman by the name of Jennifer Hemphill asking one of the patients if he would like to accept Jesus Christ into his heart and life.

I was so touched by that I got cold chills all over my body. I feel privileged to even experience something so wonderful.

You know a lot of people have phobias about nursing homes and assisted living facilities but I am here to tell you that good things do happen there. I want the whole community to know of the people who make such a difference in the lives of others.

It's good to know that if my parents, grandparents, in-laws or whomever had to be at a place like this, that there are people who care about their salvation as well as their wellbeing.

Thanks, Crystal Smith-Price Gaffney, SC
