Worked as a cashier

Pauline Meadows Chase, 51, of 1563 North Green River Road, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Rockingham, N.C., Mrs. Chase was the wife of Rickey A. Chase of the home and daughter of the late Clyde and Esta Elizabeth Bingham Atkins. Mrs. Chase worked as a cashier and was a member of Power of Prayer Independent Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Chase is survived by two daughters, Loretta Abernathy and Angelia Tapp, both of the home; three brothers, Ronald Meadows of Gaffney, Roy Meadows and Bobby Powell, both of Chesnee; two sisters, Madge Price of Gaffney and Betty Batton of Chesnee; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chase was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Jerome Tapp, and a daughter, Jeanette Chase.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at Clingman Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Revs. Tony Mullinax, Johnny Jones, Harold Dean Painter, and Tee Rucker.

Pallbearers were Terry Murphy, Bobby Wyatt, Joaquin Ocamp-Rios, Alberto Gante Espinoza, Michael Murphy,

Robert Batton, Roy Meadows Jr. and Cecil Murphy

Jr. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Roy Meadows, 322 Green Farm Road.
