Gaffney BPW Club installs new officers
Trysha Blanton will lead organization during 2008-2009 year

The Gaffney Business and Professional Women's Club installed new officers for the 2008-2009 year in a meeting Monday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the House of Pizza.
Cyndi Waters, BPW/SC treasurer, installed Patti Greene as treasurer; Elizabeth McDaniel, secretary; Stacey McDaniel Tabor, vice-president; and Trysha Blanton, president. Waters presented silver Palmetto lapel pins to the new officers .
The treasurer will have charge of all monies of the local organization. She will pay bills, write receipts and keep and give written financial reports.
The secretary will take and record accurate minutes of the proceedings of all meetings of the organization, the board of directors and the executive committee. She will read and keep all correspondence along with minutes and records in a file.
The vice-president will serve as membership chair and program chair, being in charge of getting new members and presenting programs at meetings. In the absence of the president, she will perform the duties of that office.
The president will preside at all meetings of the organization, the board of directors and the executive committee. She will appoint standing and special committee chairs and committee members with the approval of the executive committee, and may appoint a parliamentarian and make other special appointments.
She will also bring to the attention of the local group all pertinent
information about the state and national federations.
Debra McDaniel, Gaffney BPW president for 2007-2008, had charge of the the devotional at the April meeting. Helen Mccluney, vice president for 2007-2008, presented McDaniel a plaque for her service to the club.
The next meeting of the club will be Monday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the House of Pizza. Stacey McDaniel Tabor will present the program, "The Advantages of
