We now have a museum of which we can be proud
      Dear Editor: The Cherokee Historical and Preservation Society, Inc., and its board of directors wish to thank everyone who worked so hard to make our Membership Gala, Potters on Gaffney's Old Field and the grand opening of the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum such a success.

Thanks to everyone who helped with bowling tourney
      Dear Editor: The City of Gaffney Fire Department recently held the Hero's Bowling Tournament at Westlane Bowl on April 26. The tournament was held to raise funds for the Cherokee County Chapter of the American Red Cross. The several hundred dollars that were raised will be used to assist Cherokee County residents who become victims of house fires.

Carri Moss did wonderful job with March of Dimes for Babies
      Dear Editor: It is with great pleasure that I write to you in reference to the great job Carri Moss did as team captain for March of Dimes for Babies. Carri was a tremendous help - very thorough and organized - and was wonderful to work with. She went above and beyond to ensure your team was successful and that The Gaffney Ledger was represented positively.

      Dear Editor: Parks enhance the overall value and quality of life in Gaffney. I am grateful to Mayor Jolly and the Gaffney City Council for recognizing how important beauty and open spaces for the enjoyment of all mean to those of us who live here.
