Grateful to city council and mayor for parks

Dear Editor:

Parks enhance the overall value and quality of life in Gaffney.

I am grateful to Mayor Jolly and the Gaffney City Council for recognizing how important beauty and open spaces for the enjoyment of all mean to those of us who live here.

As the many visitors to Gaffney and the parents of Limestone College students drive down College Drive, the John Q. Little Park will serve to improve the image of our town and will also serve to instill in all of us more pride in our community.

Mayor Jolly and city council know that parks are valued for the significant role they play in providing a greener and more livable Gaffney. They have done us a great service. Sincerely yours, Faye Edwards Gaffney, SC
