Minnie O. Gibbs

Minnie Lee Oglesby Gibbs, 57, of 212 Dogwood Drive,

passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008, at 11:55 a.m. at Spartanburg Rest orative Care Center.

A native

of Cherokee

County, she was the widow of Sigmond Gibbs Sr. and daughter of the late J.D. Oglesby and the late Cora Lee Wood Oglesby.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, a 1968 graduate of Granard High School and formerly employed by Hamrick Industries.

Surviving are a daughter, Sigarita Gibbs of Gaffney; a son, Sigmond Gibbs Jr. of Gaffney; six brothers, Cecil Oglesby, Robert Earl Oglesby, both of Raleigh, N.C., J.C. Oglesby, Wilbert Oglesby, Joseph Oglesby, all of Gaffney, and Jerry Oglesby of Spartanburg; four sisters, Nellie Brown, Lucille Garrett, Zandra Lindsay and Joyce Dawkins, all of Gaffney; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

The family is at the residence.
