Ebenezer Church plans special youth weekend

Pastor Freddy Davidson and Ebenezer Baptist Church will celebrate Youth Day this weekend beginning with a Youth Explosion beginning Saturday and continuing with Youth Day Sunday during the 11:15 a.m.worship service.

The Youth Explosion will feature fun and games, Bible Bingo, a Bible Bowl Quiz, a Bounce House and Slide, and a basketball game. Continuing Sunday, Minister Daron K. Mills, associate minister of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Charlotte, will deliver the message.

Mills is the son Thomas and Betty Mill, Sr. and has three older brothers, Thomas Mills Jr., Minister Albert Mills and Ronald Mills, all of Charlotte. He also has a daughter, Darian Nicole Mills, also of Charlotte.

At Pleasant Hill, Mills serves in several capacities, including serving on the ministerial team and being praise and worship leader. He is part of the music staff as a bass guitarist. He received his official license to preach in 2002.

The event will end Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with the the Angelic Chorus celebrating its 29th anniversary.
