GLT presents 'Power of Love'

A Cherokee County drama group, Stage Play Productions, will present The Power of Love, Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at the Gaffney Little Theatre, 131 E. Robinson St.

The three-act modern-day play details the saga of the Callahan family and how they deal with love, infidelity and trust issues and how they learn to rely on God in these troubled times.

The original script was written by Blacksburg resident Gwendolyn Jennings four years ago when she had just been laid off her job at Grover Industries.

The cast includes Fred Campbell, Shahina Campbell, Elizabeth Lindsey, Rebecca Williams, Julius Tennal, Iesha Lindsay, Jessica Beason, Tylan Jennings and Tojuana

Petty. Others in the cast are Lydia Williams, Eddie Foster, Jason Petty, Kimberly Jennings, Delorean Akins and Joaquanna Belk.

Anjana Davidson, Dakisha Love, Keiston Brandon, Drckuria Logan, Sytoria Morris, Jessica Beason, Joaquanna Belk and Shemar Studyvance appear as party dancers.

The Rev. Van Williams and Robbin Smith are the directors of the Power of Love. The technical crew includes Raven Mitchem, music; Todd Hoyle, lighting; Keenan Corry, sound; Gary Hopper Jr. and Vickie Mitchem, stage crew; Gwen Jennings, costumes; and Janie Wilson, publicity.

The Power of Love is not part of the regular GLT season.
