BLACKSBURG - Milton James Hutchinson, 65, of 1178 Holly Ridge Road, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008, at Dorn Hospital in Columbia.

Born in Lilesville, N.C., Mr. Hutchinson was the husband

of Linda Ryan

Hutchinson of the

home and son of the late Leak Wyatt and Polly Hendrick Hutchinson. He worked as a carpenter and was a 15-year veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hutchinson is survived by two sons, Robert Larson of Lockhart and Wyatt Hutchinson of Spartanburg; three daughters, Rose Thornton of Blacksburg, Danielle Estes of Chicago, Ill., and Kristin Michelle of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, Wallace Hutchinson of Fort Mill; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutchinson was preceded in death by a sister, Felicia Hutchinson.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 15, at 3 p.m. at Gum Springs Baptist Church in Lilesville, N.C . Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be at the residence.
