Three puppies were reported stolen from a Bonner Road property June 4.

Sometime between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, an unknown person stole three water spaniel/cocker spaniel mix puppies. The dogs were about 6 months old. They are valued at $310.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office reported the use of an electronic stun gun during a June 3 arrest on Jasmine Drive.

Police were dispatched to a home in the 100 block at about 1 p.m. regarding a report of a dispute during which 27-yearold Chad Covington, of Jasmine Drive, allegedly broke a screen door and busted the rear window of a woman's car. When police arrived, according

to a police report, they found Covington being subdued by two family members. During an officer's attempt to place Covington into custody, police said Covington failed to comply and attempted to run. Police said an electronic stun gun was used to subdue Covington and take him into custody.

A Blacksburg woman found herself pump-less June 8 when she discovered a thief or thieves had stolen the filter pump on her pool.

The theft occurred in the 1900 block of West Cherokee Street between 8:30 p.m. June 7 and 1 p.m. June 8, when it was discovered. The pump is valued at about $500, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

An East Cherokee Street convenience store reported the theft of a $20 bill taped to the inside of its front door.

According to a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, a man with a tattoo on the back of his neck grabbed the bill as he was leaving My Lil Store at 2772 E. Cherokee St. at about 1:30 p.m. June 7.

A North Petty Street bar was burglarized between June 3 and June 4.

According to a report at the Gaffney Police Department, an officer noticed the front door of Peggy's Place on North Petty Street open on the morning of June 4. Police entered the building to see if anyone was inside. There was some change on the floor near the cash register.

Police determined someone had entered the bar through a side window and it appeared the phone lines had been cut. City detectives were called to the scene to investigate further.

More than $5,000 in jewelry was reported stolen following a recent burglary in Cowpens.

Some time between May 25 and May 29, someone entered a residence in the first block of Oak Street by prying open a door. Once inside, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office reported, the burglar(s) took various items of jewelry, including a 3 carat blue diamond cluster ring, a rose gold wedding band, a 1 1/2 carat white gold diamond circle pendant on a 14 carat white gold chain and 1 1/2 carat diamond hoop earrings in a yellow gold setting.

Three firearms were reported stolen during the June 5 burglary of a Shelby Highway home in Blacksburg.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, someone entered the home in the 1500 block sometime between 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. by pushing open a front door. Among the items taken were a .410-gauge New England Arms single-shot shotgun, a .30 caliber Remington bolt action rifle with a scope and synthetic stock, and a 12- gauge Mossberg shotgun. The firearms have a combined value of $1,500.

A trucker left an East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, gas station with almost $1,000 in gas he did not pay for, according to a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

According to a police report, a truck from CVS Trucking left the Wilco Hess Travel Plaza on June 4 at about 4 a.m. without paying for 218 gallons of fuel, valued at $990.13.
