Miss Crawford, Msgt. McCoy wed May 3
MRS. CARL HARRY MCCOY JR. (CHRISTY ANN CRAWFORD) Christy Ann Crawford and Msgt. Carl Harry McCoy Jr., both of Moncks Corner, were married Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Mount Pleasant. Chaplain Douglas Bryan conducted the 6 p.m. double ring ceremony at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, where a reception, given by the bride's parents, followed at the Sunrise Terrace.
Music was provided by Lonnie Root, violinist; Raff Goldman, cellist; and Stephen and Renae McBee, who sang "From This Moment." "The Prayer" was played after the bride was given in marriage by her parents.
For her wedding, the bride wore a champagne strapless embroidered A-line gown embellished with Swarovski crystals. The satin pickup skirt extended into a chapel train enhanced with a satin latte floorlength sash at the waistline. Her fingertip veil was enhanced with a vine motif and champagne Swarovski crystals and fell from a gold tiara detailed with champagne Swarovski crystals. She wore a gold necklace and earrings trimmed with matching champagne crystals and carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and coral roses, miniature calla lilies and white stephanotis accented with palms leaves and white satin ribbon streamers.
Keleigh Kiser Lewis of Chesnee attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tina Putnam Lee, cousin of the bride, of Gaffney; Carrin Sanders Vassey of Inman; Tammy Ann Isgitt of Goose Creek; and Lisa Marie Connolly of Hanahan.
The bridesmaids were attired in latte satin strapless ballgowns featuring pick-up skirts and satin champagne sashes at the waistlines. They carried hand-tied bouquets of white and coral roses accented with champagne ribbon streamers.
Junior bridesmaids were Mary Logan Wilson, sister of the bride, Amber Lacey McCoy, daughter of the groom, both of Gaffney, and Taylor Leigh Kiser of Chesnee.
The junior bridesmaids wore latte satin street-length dresses and carried hand-tied bouquets of coral roses trimmed with champagne ribbon streamers.
Flower girls were Spencer Morgan Lee, cousin of the bride, of Gaffney and Madison Ann Kiser of Chesnee. They wore champagne floor-length dresses featuring pickup skirts and spaghetti straps. The dresses were enhanced with champagne Swarovski crystals and latte satin sashes. Each carried coral rose petals in a champagne satin basket adorned with latte satin ribbons.
Paul Derek Lee, cousin of the bride, of Gaffney was the ring bearer.
Billy Joe McCoy of Sikeston, Mo., attended his brother as best man. Groomsmen were David Todd Baldwin of Spartanburg; John Raymond Burns, cousin of the groom, of Bakersfield, Calif.; Brandon Trent Sims of Clarksville, Tenn.; and James Ray Crawford, brother of the bride, of Gaffney.
Msgt. and Mrs. McCoy are making their home in Moncks Corner after a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond James Crawford of Gaffney and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Crawford and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse James Peterson. A 1992 graduate of Gaffney High School, she received an associate degree in business from Spartanburg Community College in 2003 and is employed by Summerville Dental Center. She will begin studies in the fall at Trident Technical College in North Charleston, pursuing a RN degree.
Msgt. McCoy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Avery Surface of Sikeston, Mo., and the late Carl Harry McCoy. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Melton McCoy and the late Clara Elizabeth Myers. A 1988 graduate of Scott City (Mo.) High School, he entered the U.S. Air Force in June, 1988, as a Security Forces Specialist and is currently serving as a Master Corrections Officer at the Naval Consolidated Brig in Charleston.

A house-warming shower was given by Keleigh Kiser Lewis of Chesnee and Tammy Morris Cannon of Union on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Delaney's Pub in Spartanburg.
A bridal shower was given by Shelly Grant and Tina Frye, both of Gaffney, on Saturday, April 12, at Buford Street United Methodist Church.
A bridal luncheon was given by the bride-to-be's co-workers at Summerville Dental Center on Sunday, April 20, at Triangle Char and Bar in Charleston.
Keleigh Kiser Lewis of Chesnee, Tammy Isgitt of Goose Creek and Minday Stribling of Moore entertained the bride-elect on April 26 in Columbia featuring the Kenny Chesney concert at Williams Brice Stadium.
Following the rehearsal on Friday, May 2, at 5:30 p.m., Msgt. McCoy's parents entertained with a sit-down dinner at the Charleston Club, located on the Charleston Air Force Base.
