Retired real estate broker; retired from McDonnell Douglas and Gaffney Housing Authority

John Calvin Wall, 75, of 711 Lyman St., went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare.

Born in Chesnee, he was the husband of Maxine Scoggin Wall and son of the late Arthur McKinley Walls and Daisy Cromer Walls. He was a graduate of Robinson Business College and was a veteran

of the United

States Air Force. He

was retired from McDonnell Douglas and was a retired real estate broker and businessman. He was also retired from Gaffney Housing Authority and was a member of Covenant Christian Center.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Les Wall and wife, Maggie, and David Wall and wife, Pam, all of Gaffney; two daughters, Connie Burkhardt and husband, Mike, of St. Louis, Mo., and Linda Wall of Gaffney; a sister, Oliveen Fowler and husband, Wirron (Bo), of Woodruff; nine grandchildren, Linda Rowland and husband, Scott, of Lake Ozark, Mo., Donna Archer and husband, Adrian, of St. Charles, Mo., Stephanie Burkhardt and Scott Burkhardt, both of St. Louis, Lester E. Wall Jr. and wife, Julie, of Gaffney, Alexander Webb and Leeanna Webb, both of Gaffney, Jennifer Wall of Charlotte and Amanda Wall of Gaffney; four greatgrandchildren; an aunt, Grace Brown of Gaffney; and special loved ones, Janet Kingston and Debbie Hogan, both of St. Louis.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wall was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Walls, Larry Walls and Sam Laughter.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, June 16, at 11 a.m. in Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. Jim McClure.

Visitation was held Sunday, June 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Les and Maggie Wall, 105 Cambridge Circle.
