Formerly employed by B&G Chrysler Plymouth and as a library assistant at Draytonville Elementary School

Margaret Rhea Burgess Clary, 70, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith," of 107 Carter Heights Drive, went home to Glory on June 14, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Ben L. Clary and daughter of the late Robert Curt Burgess and Nellie Wood Burgess. She was formerly employed by B&G Chrysler Plymouth and a library assistant at Draytonville Elementary School. Mrs. Clary was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church and a member of the Cleo Vaughn Sunday School Class.

In addition to her husband, surviving are a son, Benny Clary of the home; a brother, Roy Burgess, and wife, Kathy, of Irmo; a sister, Norma Jewell of Spartanburg; and special caregivers, Jackie Raduly and Betty Copeland.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clary was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Burgess and Max Burgess.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 16, from 1-2 p.m. at Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Dr. Clyde Thomas, the Rev. Stuart Kersey and Mrs. Joy Brown officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church, 805 Cherokee Ave., Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
