BLACKSBURG - Wayne "Bucker" Carson Carroll, 60, of 441 Martin Hills Road, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008, at his home.

Born in Gaffney, Mr. Carroll was the husband of Frances Carroll of the home and son of the late George Little and Dorcus Mae Sprouse Carroll. He worked as a truck driver and was a member of Garden Temple Assembly of God.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Carroll is survived by a son, Wayne Carson Carroll Jr. of Blacksburg; a daughter, Michell Lee Turner of Blacksburg; two brothers, Charles (Dick) Carroll and James Lanier, both of Blacksburg; a sister, Ruth Tucker of Blacksburg; and four grandchildren, Heather Turner, Mychal Carroll, Michael Turner and Cody Carroll, all of Blacksburg.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by two brothers, George (Bud) Carroll and Nelson Carroll.

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at Garden Temple Assembly of God, with the Rev. Danny Marshburn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Spartanburg, S.C. 29301.
