Robert (Bob) Stockwell

Owner/operator of Comfort Heating and Cooling

Robert (Bob) W. Stockwell, 60, of 203 East 3rd St., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at his residence.

Born in Hudson Falls, N.Y., he was the son of Agnes Ruppe Wallace of Gaffney and the late Milton Stockwell. He was owner and operator of Comfort Heating and Cooling and a member of the VFW and Our Place of Blacksburg.

Mr. Stockwell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the National Guards.

In addition to his mother, surviving are a daughter, Mandy Painter and husband, Dusty, of Gaffney; number two daughter, Jill Elder and husband, Donald, of Gaffney; a step-son, Timmy Kirby and wife, Lottie, of Gaffney; a brother, Mike Stockwell and wife, Paula, of Gaffney; two sisters, Kay James and husband, Roger, of Gaffney and Tana Leidgh and husband, Tom, of Orlando, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Zac Painter, Nic Painter, Anna Owens and Josh Kirby.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 19, from 10-11 a.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, S.C. 29615.

The family will be at the residence.
