The Cherokee County Public Library is sponsoring a gaming tournament for teens, "Metamorphosis," in conjunction with the 2008 Summer Reading Program.

The tourney will consist of two individuals competing against each other in a Nintendo Wii, Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution match. The first tourney on June 23 at the Gaffney library will be a Nintendo Wii sports competition from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. That will be followed by a Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution tourney from 2:30- 4:30 p.m.

A tournament will be at the Blacksburg library Friday, June 27. A Nintendo Wii sports competition will be held from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with a Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution tourney from 2:30-4:30 p.m.

The tourney is open to teens and rising seventh graders only. It is not necessary to sign up in advance, but participants are asked to come early in the morning of the event to decide playing time. Free refreshments will be provided.
