Dunton United Methodist Church welcomes its new pastor, the Rev. Judith Knox of Bishopville. Rev. Knox received her undergraduate degree in psyc hology from University of South Carolina and
MEd in generic special education. She is pursuing a master's of Divinity at Emory University. Dunton invites the public to come hear her sermon on Sunday, June 22, at 11:15 a.m.

Limestone Missionary Baptist Church will have its second annual women's conference Saturday, June 28, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Speaker will be the Rev. Cecelia Miller of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Chesnee, and author of Virtuous Woman. A donation of $10 is requested; breakfast and lunch will be served and door prizes will be given away.
The Pastor's Aid Ministry of Way of Life Praise and Worship Center Inc.,1320 Old Georgia Hwy., will have a special program Sunday, June 22, at 4 p.m. Speaker will be Rev, Les Howard, pastor of Galilee Baptist Church, Blacksburg.
The Voice of Triumph Worship Center, 179 Corry Road, Blacksburg, will host its 28th annual youth camp and convention June 25-27. Services begin June 25 at 7 a.m. and Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m There will be various speakers in the morning services and the evening speaker will be Big Mo Ostranger of Dothan, Ala. Ostranger is an accomplish singer, song writer and evangelist with more than 30 years experience. There is no charge to attend but an offering will be taken at each service. The Vinnie Byers Missionary Circle of Bethel Baptist Church will celebrate its anniversary Sunday, June 22, at 10:30 a.m. The missionaries will be in charge of the pulpit services and speaker will be Juanita Dewberry, an associate minister of the church.

Bible Schools
Aloha! Surf's up at Vacation Bible School June 23-27 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 250 Mt. Olive Road, Cowpens. Themed "Outrigger Island - Living God's Unshakeable Truth," classes will be available for ages three to middle schoolers.
Shady Grove Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 23-27 from 6-8 p.m. The theme is "Around the Campfire with Jesus." There will be classes for all ages, preschool to adults. Vacation Bible School Fun Day will be held on Saturday, June 28, from 9-11 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
Fund raisers
The CPAD Dance Ministry of Suck Creek Baptist Church will sponsor a hot dog sale on Saturday, June 28, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the church Life Center on Hwy. 11 A meal plate is $8 and includes two hot dogs with chili, French fries, baked beans, cole slaw, drink and dessert. A snack plate is $4 and includes two dog dogs with chili, drink and dessert. There will also be a doughnut sale (certificates only) for $5 per dozen and a car wash (outside of vehicle only) for $5.
Meetings
The Gaffney Business and Professional Women's Club will meet Monday, June 23, at 6:30 p.m. at the House of Pizza. Education
The Cherokee County Adult Education Program is offering a GED review class and the official practice GED test. The review class will be Saturday, June 21, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The official practice GED test will be Saturday, June 28, at 8 a.m. Test results will be returned on June 28. Cost for the GED Review Class and Official Practice GED test is $20. Cost for the practice GED test without the review is $15. Fee must be paid in cash prior to the class or test.
