Victoria McDaniel competing in National American Miss S.C. pageant Aug. 1-2 in Greenville

Victoria McDaniel Victoria McDaniel Victoria McDaniel, six-year-old daughter of Andy and Kristi McDaniel, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss South Carolina pageant to be held Aug. 1-2 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville. The pageant is for girls ages four through six.

Victoria's activities include Good News Club, student council committee at Lone Oak Elementary, Green Thumb (4-H) Club, and Boy and Girls Club. She enjoys going to church, dancing, riding her bike, playing with her Barbies and swimming. She loves animals and especially enjoying snuggling with her chihuahua. Victoria also loves poising for pictures and acting silly.

The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, an official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to participate in the national pageant at Disneyland.

The National American Miss pageants are dedicated to celebrating America's greatness and encouraging its future leaders. Each year, the pageant awards thousands in scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young women nationwide. All activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented.

The pageant program is based on inner beauty as well as pose and presentation and offers an All-American spirit of fun for family and friends.

Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition, and setting and achieving personal goals. The pageant seeks to recognize the accomplishments of each girl while encouraging her to set goals for the future.
