Dog eats rain gutters
      The Gaffney Police Department was advised that a dog has an apparent appetite for rain gutters. According to a police complaint filed June 26, an unknown dog went into a Cooper Street yard between June 25 and June 26 and pulled two drain pipes from a home's gutter downspouts and chewed off the ends. Man claims house he purchased has been gutted
      A Greer man claims $60,000 in furniture and appliances has gone missing in the two years since he last lived in his house. Philip Alan Richards, 38, of Greer, filed a malicious property damage incident report Friday with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office. The damage was reported to police at 5 p.m. and involves a 120 West Court Drive residence in Chesnee.

      A York County couple pleaded guilty Friday in U.S. District Court in Columbia to making and mailing explosive devices in a somewhat elaborate scheme to have law enforcement investigate people they had quarrels with, according to federal prosecutors.

Worship service puts finishing touches on S.C. Peach Festival

As South Carolina's Commissioner of Agriculture, Weathers is responsible for all things agriculture.
