BLACKSBURG - Susan Black Leopard, 42, of 138 Bolton-Parker Road, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Born in Gaffney to Jackie Black and the late Joe Black, Mrs. Leopard was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for most of her life. She worked in the retail industry and graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1984. Surviving in addition to her mother are three sons, Jay Leopard of Spartanburg, Adam Leopard and Ely Leopard, both of the home; two brothers, David Black of Shelby and Robbie Black of the home; a sister, Karen Fowler of Greer; seven nieces; four nephews; and her best friend, Allyson Herndon of Blacksburg. Services will held Wednesday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Jason Patterson and Richard Brown. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, from 6-8 p.m. in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The family is at the residences.
