The American Legion Post 109 junior team made things look easy at Chester on Saturday. Josh Mata had three hits and four RBIs and Clay McKowen had two hits and knocked in two runs to help first-place Post 109 to a 13-4 victory. More ... Stoney Baker strung together two bowling "turkeys" Sunday afternoon to capture his 20th pro bowling title in Gaffney. Baker delivered a strike in six of his final seven frames to defeat Greenville resident Lee Vanderhoef, 217-202, in the first Peach Bowl at Starmax. The membership levels include the Warrior for $200 and Chief's Council for $500.
