Winthrop tuition going up 8 percent ROCK HILL - Trustees at Winthrop University in Rock Hill have decided to raise tuition 8.3 percent for the coming school year. Trustees voted to increase the cost for undergraduate students form South Carolina by $425 per semester, to $5,530. Out of state undergraduate students will pay an extra $788 more, or $10,305 per semester. Winthrop President Anthony DiGiorgio (Duh-Georgeee oh) says the increase will help offset rising costs as state funding for the school declines. |
